COVID-19 and HIV/SRH: Effect of COVID-19 on access to HIV and sexual and reproductive health services among adolescent mothers in South Africa: a cohort study ​​

  • Adolescent mothers confront multiple risks which may negatively impact on their ability to parent, their personal health and the health of their children. ​

  • These risks include experiencing stigmatization, delayed entry to antenatal care, poor adherence to ART and exclusion in support  programmes. ​

  • With lockdown measures and changes to healthcare provision due to the COVD-19 pandemic,  the vulnerabilities of adolescents mothers may have exacerbate.
